The Baptist Union GB website gives you much more information about Baptists in the UK.

The EMBA has representation on three national Baptist groups and, in each case, people need to be nominated for these positions.

Baptist Union Council

The Baptist Union of Great Britain is in a period of transition and is being headed up by a Baptist Steering Group. BU Council which meets twice a year, has taken on a new format with fewer people involved than in previously. BU Council is the Union’s decision-making body that acts between Assemblies and deals with a variety of issues relating to national Baptist life. The EMBA  is represented on it by Rev’d Mark Clay, Rev’d David Harvey (our moderator) , Philippe Ndabananiye (Whetstone Baptist Church) & co-opted member Rev’d Andrew Miles (Belper BC).

BMS World Mission Council of Reference

This council meets for one day twice a year to look at the work of BMS World Mission. It provides advice and guidance to the Board on matters of policy as well as receiving up-to-date reports on work around the world. The EMBA currently is represented by two lay people who have an interest in this work.

Younger Leaders Forum (YLF)

YLF is a group of young adults aged 18-30 from Baptist Churches around the country. They meet 2 weekends a year, and provide a prophetic voice which speaks into council. The EMBA are entitled to 2 representatives on YLF who are currently Rachel Third and Tim Isterling.
