For Ministers

Spiritual Accompaniment

In pastoral Ministry we are called upon to feed the flock; to nurture the spiritual well-being of individuals and congregations.  This is personally demanding and requires the maintenance and development of a Minister’s own life with God.  Down the centuries and through to today many Ministers of all denominations have benefitted from sharing their inner journey with God with a skilled accompanier.  We are, therefore, delighted that a small group of suitably trained and gifted Baptist men and women have come together to offer the ministry of spiritual accompaniment to ministers and leaders in the churches of the EMBA.  A leaflet explaining this ministry and how to access it can be found here.

Refresh your ministry and church leadership skills with the Centre for Continuing Development in Ministry (CCDM) Central Hall, Westminster, London

Keeping fresh and growing on a personal level can make all the difference to your effectiveness and enjoyment in your ministry. For ten years CCDM has provided practical in-service training for ministers, helping refresh their ministry by stimulating personal growth, enhancing leadership skills and being a networking point where practical experience can be shared with like-minded ministers. Its goal is to stimulate your ministry by equipping you to be a better leader and by providing you with an opportunity to reflect on strategic and day to day ministry issues.
CCDM is open to all pastors and ministers and is run by Claybury International in partnership with Spurgeons College. The CCDM programme has 8 sessions a year and ministers join CCDM for a year at a time so there is no long term commitment required.

One minister said about CCDM “I have found the program to be very rich in experience, very informative, educative and above all very challenging in practical ministry and spirituality.”

Get more details about CCDM here, email or call the centre administrator on 01462 600143.
