Operation Agri Update

Your Baptist development team supporting life changing projects among some of the world’s poorest people, has just refurbished their website www.operationagri.org.uk on which you can find details of all the projects they support around the world, as well as this year’s new Appeal, Water and Welfare in Sri Lanka.

In Northern Sri Lanka Tamil families have returned to villages that were abandoned during years of conflict.  OA’s partner LEADS is there, helping to rebuild and restore village life through:

  • Wells for water, Welfare for children, Women’s self-help groups.

There’s a pack of materials to go with the appeal, which can be used at any time your church is turning their focus outwards to the needs of the world.  This can be ordered through the website

Do you see the need to pioneer something new in your community – a new ministry, a project, even an new expression of church?  Or perhaps you are not there yet, but see the need to re-think what it means to be church in in 21st century Britain.  There are some excellent training courses and day events around to help stimulate thought or provide in depth education.
