God of Miracles by Sue Collins (who is a member of a local baptist church) is a story of faith and hope in the midst of grief, and will especially bring encouragement to those affected by the loss of a baby or raising a child with special needs.

Sue and her husband Phil experienced the loss of two babies in a single year, shortly after birth. When their third child is born with similar complications to their second, Gods brings their attention to a verse in scripture, which seems to promise that the child will live – but she does not. At this point, the couple’s faith is tested, but they decide to consider adopting, as giving birth seems to be too risky. Then a further prophetic word encourages them to try again; Sue becomes pregnant and the meaning of the original promise God gave soon becomes apparent…

Operation Agri Update

Your Baptist development team supporting life changing projects among some of the world’s poorest people, has just refurbished their website www.operationagri.org.uk on which you can find details of all the projects they support around the world, as well as this year’s new Appeal, Water and Welfare in Sri Lanka.

In Northern Sri Lanka Tamil families have returned to villages that were abandoned during years of conflict.  OA’s partner LEADS is there, helping to rebuild and restore village life through:

  • Wells for water, Welfare for children, Women’s self-help groups.

There’s a pack of materials to go with the appeal, which can be used at any time your church is turning their focus outwards to the needs of the world.  This can be ordered through the website
