Jo Sayer

Jo grew up in Guildford, Surrey and became a Christian when she was thirteen.  After studying at university, the Lord led her to work in the Democratic Republic of Congo (what was then Zaire) for two years.   This was the start of her relationship with Africa, and seven years later she went to Tanzania to work in a Bible College there, teaching the students English and providing pastoral care for them.   After nearly nine years she returned to England and took up the post of Personnel Manager for Crosslinks, an international mission agency based in London.   After ten years, she became Field Director for South London for London  City Mission in 2016 and went from visiting missionaries in Thailand and South Africa, to visiting them in Brixton and Streatham.  Jo attends All Saints Church, in Peckham, and in her spare time enjoys hospitality, zumba and walking.

Sue has been working out her faith in community ministry for around 15 years.  The last 3 years has seen her ordained as a Baptist Minister and become an ecumenical Pioneer Community Worker in New Lubbesthorpe, a new village being built on the edge of Leicester.  She has developed ministries and fresh expressions of church in dementia, mental health, mindfulness, Messy and Mossy Church as well as growing a healthy community from scratch.  Sue is married to Dave and has two grown up sons.  In her spare time she likes to run and loves heading out in their camper van to explore our lovely country.
